It looks like ARTC has already completed a migration onto the 4G network.

In addition their long delayed Advanced Train Management System (ATMS) project is going to use 4G – because it uses the National Train Communications System as the backend.

The line through Warrenheip has been two single tracks since the entire area was resignalled and the station was abolished in 1995 – the line to Melbourne runs straight through, but there is an unattended crossing loop on the line to Geelong.

Yep – V/Line’s finally on the same system as the parallel ARTC tracks, but Metro is still off in their own world.
