Only 4 years later we’ve only just seen this post.

Now, this would have been the result of either us not setting up the ads correctly or dodgy Facebook showing everyone our ads to chew up our money. Based on your screenshot and based on the fact that you also receive an ad for an over 28s night, I would say it the latter because there is no way I would physically “select” married people. Also, there is no way an over 28s bar would purposely target someone under 28 if they are just going to get rejected at the door. Make sense?

What amazes me is that not one of you contacted us directly to tell us. Instead, you just jumped online and made a post about it which helped absolutely no one. All you did here was make Zuckerberg richer and us poorer because our ads were not targeting the right people.

It would’ve been amazing if you actually contacted us directly and told us this was taking place. We would’ve taken it up with Facebook immediately.

Not everything is how it seems. Next time, I recommend contacting the company directly and telling them.

Thanks, guys!

Regards, Tommy

I got adverts for over 28s nights when I was nowhere near that age:

That’s one way to think about it!

Facebook’s “community standards” are anything but – they once flagged breastfeeding as obscene.

Advertisers figure young single blokes are smart enough to use free apps like Tinder?

Or a case of Facebook taking the $$$ from anyone willing to shell out and advertise on their platform?

They think it is easier to grab married men, because the “due diligence” on their capability or reliability has already been done by some other woman.

I get all kinds of bizarre advertising suggestions from Facebook.
