People love using Microsoft PowerPoint for all kinds of stupid crap.

I believe this is one of the stupidest. This is a copyright warning that is included on some Australian DVD releases. It also appears in some cinemas before the movie begins.

It accompanies the "piracy – its a crime" advertisment with the spiel that goes "you wouldn’t steal a car, you wouldn’t steal a handbag, etc, etc" You gotta love their advertising budget…

Finally, a bit of irony. The copyright notices at the start of a movie cannot be fast forwarded or skipped though. In normal circumstances. The only way you can get around it is if you produce a "backup" copy, which is prohibited by the very warning that caused you to make the copy…
